Asst. Prof. Dr. Mert Ersan
Aesthetic Plastic surgeon Dr. Mert Ersan was born on August 11, in Izmir/Turkey. He completed his primary education in İzmir and his high school education in Aydin High School of Science. He was eligible to attend the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (English) with a high degree in the university exam. He graduated from the medical faculty in 2014. After graduation, he worked at Izmir Kiraz State Hospital in Emergency Department as a physician for 10 months. On August 3, 2015, he qualified to work as a research assistant at Ankara University Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Department. After working here for almost 6 years, on March 19, 2021, he was entitled to become a plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery specialist with his thesis “The Effect of Taurine on Flap Perfusion and Viability in Axial and Random Pattern Flaps in Rats”. After becoming a specialist, he completed his compulsory service by working as a plastic surgeon at Yozgat City Hospital, Turkey for 2 years.
Dr. Mert Ersan passed the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) exams, which he entered in 2020 and 2021 and fulfilled the quality recognition requirements. He received the title of “FEBOPRAS” (Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery) on November 13, 2021. In 2021, he was eligible to participate to the fellowship program organized by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). In 2022, he received training on aesthetic surgery from Dr. Jacques van der Meulen and Dr. Jeroen Stevens, in the Netherlands. During his stay in the Netherlands, he actively participated in rhinoplasty operations, periocular rejuvenation surgeries, facial aesthetics, breast aesthetics, fat injections, stem cell therapies and body contouring procedures.
Dr. Mert Ersan is a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), the Rhinoplasty Society of Europe (RSE), Turkish Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association (TPRECD) and Turkish Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Association (EPCD).
Dr. Mert Ersan is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Yeditepe University Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
